Jake majored in Wildlife Science with minors in forestry and biology from VT’s College of Natural Resources and Environment. He worked in the Hopkins lab between 2008 and 2010 assisting with various research projects focused on a number of different species including wood ducks, American toads, snapping turtles, and Eastern hellbenders.
As an avid waterfowl hunter, Jake has always had a passion for conserving wetlands and waterfowl. Since graduating he has worked in several positions that directly relate to that passion. He currently lives in Maryland and is employed full-time by Ducks Unlimited as the regional biologist for MD, DE, and WV. Concurrent to his work with DU, Jake is pursuing a Masters degree in Wildlife Ecology from the University of Delaware.
