Thera majored in Wildlife Science with a minor in Biology in the College of Natural Resources and Environment. She has experience as a field technician conserving shorebirds in Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts and studying tree swallow behavior and physiology in Alberta, Canada.

Thera started working in the Hopkins lab in the fall of 2009, primarily working with Sarah DuRant and Amanda Wilson on wood ducks. She continued working as a technician for various projects after graduating in December 2010.

Thera is most interested in wildlife physiology and plans to attend graduate school after gaining additional field and research experience. She currently resides in Alaska, where she is working as a research technician.
