Brian received his BS in Biology from the University of South Carolina-Aiken in 1995. After a two year stint at Savannah River Ecology Laboratory (SREL), he went to Clemson University where he earned his Master’s degree in 1999. His Master’s research focused on the impacts of beaver activity on amphibian and reptile communities. Brian is involved in a number of ongoing research projects at SREL including the long-running Rainbow Bay study and the effects of contaminants on amphibian and reptile populations.
Brian completed his doctorate in Ecology at the University of Georgia’s Savannah River Ecology Laboratory in 2012. He was working with Dr. Kurt Buhlmann and Dr. Bill Hopkins. His doctoral research investigated maternal transfer effects of contaminants in amphibians.
Brian is an Assistant Professor at Georgia Regents University.
